Flash: Force self-update

NOTE: This page is in response to a Flash 0day. The specific commands will change as versions change. I'll think about putting together a batch script that can handle it.

--64 bit systems (updates 32 bit components as well)--

Internet Explorer on Windows Vista/7 64bit:
%WINDIR%\system32\macromed\flash\FlashUtil64_16_0_0_287_ActiveX.exe -update activex

Firefox on Windows Vista+ 64bit:
%WINDIR%\system32\macromed\flash\FlashUtil64_16_0_0_287_Plugin.exe -update plugin

Chrome:
Flash is built-in to Chrome. Wait for Google.

Internet Explorer on Windows 8+
Flash for IE is built-in to Windows 8+. Will be delivered through a Windows update.

 

--32 bit systems (why are you running 32 bit Windows? It's less secure.)--

Internet Explorer on Windows Vista/7 32bit:
